I would like to suggest those that want to make donations to non profits, make them to LOCAL organizations. When you give to big organizations, just a small % actually goes to the cause. Example: wounded warrior ceos make over $300K a year. Same goes for VFW and others. When an organization is nationwide, so much $$ goes to salaries, office expenses, advertising etc. Local organizations use more money for the cause. We are not giving anymore to the big guys, will be keeping our donations in Flagstaff where it will do more good.
