I would like to take issue with the Executive in charge of roads at The County Government of Kericho concerning the ongoing roads construction in Kericho County by various contractors. For a start I will take him through how the road from Urwo to Kibarao river is and thereafter the road from Likia to Kibarao river and other roads will follow. Urwo - Kibarao road is a 6m lane. If it has to be expanded due process has to be followed and the compensation for trees, tea, fences, etc arranged. Nobody should wake up one morning and say a 6m road is now 12m the way the contractor is doing and begin racing down peoples property! where was the decision to expand the road made! Why were the stakeholders and those affected not involved in decision making! We all welcome and support infrastructure but it has to be done in a procedural manner. This is unprofessional way of doing things and we are beginning to doubt your capability in manning this department and this is a notice of intention to turn the spotlight on you, your department and the contractors doing these jobs whether they have the necessary skills, etc as required by the law. Instead of winning votes for governor Paul Kiprono Chepkwony you are creating resentment among the residents and losing votes instead!
