I wrote the following on my FB Wall exactly one month ago, after a great match played that day by Federer: You heard it here first: Federer is currently ranked #8. By no later than the end of March, hell be #4, and he will have a brief shot at #2 or even #1 by year end, if the cards fall right and neither Djokovic or Nadal dominates 2014. He is going to win a few tournaments this year. Hes back. As of today, he is now #4, and he could rise to #3 if he wins the next 3 matches at the Miami 1000 tournament, and takes home the trophy. But even if he doesnt, he has very few points to defend the next 5 months, and he could very well be leading the entire pack in points for 2014 even if he loses in the semis or final, so now i will go to a crazier prediction. 2012 could repeat if Nadal, Djokovic and Fed each win one major from here on in-i.e., Fed could sneak back for a short while to #1!!
