IDAS 2014 – INTERNATIONAL DEBATE ACADEMY SLOVENIA, 22nd - 30th November 2014 Za in proti, zavod za kulturo dialoga, Slovenia and Worlds Debate Institute, USA kindly invite you to the 12th International Debate Academy Slovenia which will be held in Hotel Špik, Gozd Martuljek/Kranjska Gora and Ljubljana, Slovenia between 22-30 November 2014. The program is aimed at university students, coaches, trainers, teachers, judges, debate organisers …, uses the WUDC/BP format and it will be conducted in English. IDAS is a combination of training program, which will happen from 22nd - 28th in Hotel Špik, Gozd Martuljek/Kranjska gora and tournament in Ljubljana from 28th - 30th November. You can participate at the whole IDAS or tournament only. Program Each day involves lectures to three separate experience level groups along with small group exercise sessions. Each day also features two full debates critiqued by faculty. Each afternoon many elective classes are offered for students to choose two. Everyone from the training component takes buses to Ljubljana. A six round tournament will be held. Usually there are 100 – 150 debaters, coaches, trainers, judges from more than 25 countries from all over the world participating. TOURNAMENT ONLY, 28 – 30 November 2014 If you can only attend the tournament, arrive in Ljubljana by 1400 hours on 28 November Friday for registration, tournament ends at 1400 30 November Sunday. Participation fee - 80 Euros (tournament entry, two nights housing, two lunches, two dinners, two breakfasts, break night party). Economy Tournament only- 25 Euros (tournament entry, no housing, Saturday & Sunday lunches only, break night party).
