*** IDENTIFYING AND NARROWING OUR TARGETS #nj2as #tcot First of all, I would like to PERSONALLY thank each and every one of you for mounting one of the MOST SUCCESSFUL campaigns against a bill in the entire history of the New Jersey Legislature. The response against bill A2006/S993 has been ASTRONOMICAL!!! What you have done *DOES* make a difference. I *URGE* you to keep up the pressure. HOWEVER, I am going to suggest that we narrow our focus a little for a couple of reasons. The fact is, the pressure we have been exerting *DOES* impact those who oppose the right to keep and bear arms. The problem is, it also impacts our friends. YES WE ACTUALLY HAVE FRIENDS! Here is what I am going to propose. While we all continue to target the bad apples, I will start gathering the friendly legislators into a pro-rights caucus to keep them informed regarding our issues. We can spare them the disruption of our successful campaigns. After all, why waste time badgering the legislators who have proven themselves to be on our side of the issues, when we could use that extra time and effort to INCREASE the pressure on those who insist on further restricting our rights. While I am working out the details of this caucus, I would like to identify a few individuals who stand out as supporting the rights of law-abiding individuals. I would ask that you eliminate these individuals from your list of who to flood with emails, faxes, letters, phone calls and visits. If anything should change with any of these individuals (something I *HIGHLY* doubt), I will inform you. Here is the list so far. It is not all-inclusive yet. I am working on it. Please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE if there is someone you feel SHOULD be included and I will look into it. I would rather that you did *NOT* add a comment about them to this thread for a variety of reasons. THANK YOU. At this time you are asked to PLEASE remove them from your list to contact. We want to INFORM our friends, not punish them. The caucus will serve that purpose.
