IEC wins against BDP Justice Rannowane has dismissed the Botswana Democratic Party (BDP) case against the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC). The BDP through its lawyers had argued that the IEC was wrong to refuse Ignatius Moswaanes nomination while the IEC insisted it was acting as per the instructions of a court order. On a separate but related case, Justice Ntlhomiwa will deliberate on a review application by the BDP. The decision by the BDP central committee to dismiss Whyte Marobelas appeal will be scrutinised in court.
