Salihu Bello Usman now 21yrs old lost his father at early teenage, only his poor mother supported his studies until he was able to write his WAEC. He came out with good result but, the mother was not able to stand by him to secure admission into any of the University, Salihu lost hope and surrendered to fate. One day a friend ask him to come and pick a free form from the Governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso Free Scholarship Program which he did. Like joke, Salihu is among the hundreds of Kano State indigenes that are about to graduate as Pilot from one of the countries abroad. I was with his uncle yesterday evening when he call to inform him that he can now fly a plane alone. He reported that he did fly several times alone and he will soon graduate to earn a certificate as a pilot. His story is similar to the rest of the boys and girls sent out in various fields by the Kano State Government via Governor Kwankwaso. Kano will soon reclaim the old traditional slogan in Hausa which says, KO DAME KAZO AN FIKA! LITERALLY SPEAKING, WHATEVER A VISITOR HAS TO IMPRESS THEM WITH, KANO HAS MORE OF IT!
