IGNORANCE: I abhor ignorance. We are all born that way, but its up to each of us to overcome it. I certainly dont expect everyone to to get a PHD, but everyone should be able to spell it. Ignorance is a lack of education. Not necessarily a formal education, but enough learning to distinguish yourself from an idiot. An idiot is someone who can not benefit from education. Im learning to feel pity for idiots. The trick is being able to discern ignorance from idiocy. Its not as easy as it looks. The symptoms are VERY similar. You can only truly detect idiocy by offering your services as an educator. A word of warning; Do not assume yourself to be such a great teacher that anyone can learn from you. But when you quietly explain something that even the most ignorant person can benefit from and they look at you like youre quoting Nietzsche in Urdu, they might be an idiot. Be kind their Mother may have snorted lead paint chips during pregnancy.
