IGUIP; Endorsement. I endorse the four NEW CANDIDATES and many of us hope you will too. All four have participated in IGUIP. All four have came to the IGUIP meet and greet. All four have answered questions in IGUIP. All four respond when you contact them. All four have never run for political office before. All four bring a balance to the School Board. None of the four are controlled by any Church Groups or Civic Groups in Portsmouth. These are the four people who have been to every forum and have agreed to make some needed changes in how the School Board works. These are the four candidates that have given IGUIP the respect as a landing page community of diverse communities. Based solely on the interaction with our group alone, these four candidates are the choice for recommendation. These four are not bought and paid for already and I hope they can work together to make some changes. The School Board suffers from lazy lethargic management of its affairs. These candidates are YOUNGER and full of vigor. Not once in the last few years has any one of the incumbents taken responsibility for anything that is going wrong. That is not the mark of leadership. The incumbents only want responsibility for all of the things that are going right. Some of the incumbents are just too old to understand that the technology has left them behind. Some of the incumbents are the reason I.C. Norcom is failing the kids and the economic development plans. Some of the incumbents have not spoken up in the meetings. The incumbents have not moved the public or engaged the parents or increased PTA or increased community involvement. Nor do they have PLANS in place they have written out to do so. Incumbents have been directly involved in misleading the public. None of the incumbents have been able to explain the finances articulately they never have the documents or a response to simple budget answers. Some of the incumbents are playing Farmville on the Ipads we paid for instead of engaging the public on social media. All the incumbents have SCORNED IGUIP and refuse to interact with you on social media and for that reason they must be chopped.
