Snyder and Guns: I attended a function earlier today in which Lt. Governor Calley was present to discuss issues of importance to voters. So, I could not resist missing this opportunity to discuss Snyders Administration, via proxy, on the subject of gun rights. To paraphrase Calleys response, here is my take on what was conveyed: Gun rights in Michigan are very good. If re-elected there will be no effort to roll back gun rights in Michigan. The Governor will not support elimination of free zones if there is not a provision to allow for local control. Thus, I am asserting that a vote for Snyder is a vote for the status quo on gun rights in Michigan. HOWEVER, do NOT assume that I suggesting that gun rights supporters vote for Schauer either. In fact, I believe that a vote for Schauer will equate to putting a gun-grabber in the Governors Mansion. Now you know...
