IK must pay heed to Javed Hashmis sane advice. COAS must steer the army out of politics maintaining strict neutrality. The crisis will die down automatically. Had there been no history of military take overs as is the case in other democracies such as India, no political movement would expect army to arbitrate. Let the army set out a precedence of non involvement/interference in politics whatever the case. This will ensure smooth functioning of democracy in the country, enhance the image of the country in the comity of nations and raise the prestige of army as an institution in public eye.
