On Sunday, March 1, I will be participating at the 15th Annual Chicago Polar Plunge for the athletes of Special Olympics Chicago athletes with disabilities by taking a chilly dip into Lake Michigan alongside thousands of other warm-hearted people and my team Cook County Department of Corrections. The positive impact this will have on the lives of the 5,000 athletes of Special Olympics Chicago will last a lifetime.
