**IMPORTANT MICROCHIP CLINIC INFORMATION** Hi All! We are excited to be having our tornado relief free microchipping clinic Saturday, January 25th from 12:30-3 PM. We are asking that you try to come in between 1-2 if your last name begins in a letter between A-M and between 2-3 if its between N-Z. This is a guideline, only, so please dont worry if you need to come at a different time or if you have to make 2 trips. We will do our best to accommodate. Also, there is still time to register and confirm, so give us a shout. Here are some details we want to make sure everyone has prior to Saturday, so please feel free to share this information. ---If you have a certificate that you got through Tazewell County Animal Control, please bring it with you, but also, if you have NOT confirmed either here, or a phone call with Shannon, PLEASE do so before Saturday. We are trying to do some prep work prior to the clinic to make things run more smoothly. ---ALL cats must be in a carrier and dogs in a small carrier or on a NON RETRACTABLE leash. If you need help with a carrier, please let us know and we will try to provide one. We have PLENTY of leashes at the clinic for donation, too. ---We ask that cats, even though they will be in carriers, try to enter through the cat door, which will be on your left as you enter the building. We have benches and floor space for the carriers to be set down. ---Dogs should come in through the dog side, on your right, as you enter the building. If you have both a dog and a cat, please use the dog side if you are alone. If you bring someone with you to hold the dog while you register, great, but IF you can avoid bringing too many extra people, especially kids, we would appreciate that. Only because we expect to have quite a few people and animals, at times, and we dont want anyone getting hurt. ---Please avoid bringing food of any kind into the clinic. We will have treats ready for each pet as they get chipped, but we would like to avoid any chance of any food protective behavior while they wait. ---If your dog is, or could be, dog aggressive, PLEASE leave him or her in your car until your turn. We will do whatever we need to do to get them in and out as quickly as possible. ---Please make sure you have the following information: ~~Owners name ~~Owners legal address ~~Owners phone number ~~Alternate phone number and address(the alternate phone number is VERY important. It should be a family member or close friend who doesnt reside with you.) Also, remember, this information can and should be changed, later, if your circumstances change. ~~Pets name ~~Pets gender(and if they are spayed or neutered) ~~Pets approx. age ~~Pets breed ~~Pets current Veterinarian(we will be calling all of your AVID chip numbers in within the next couple weeks so that all of your current clinics can update their records without you having to take time to let them know. We know you all have plenty of other things to worry about, right now) ~~$5 registration fee in cash or check made to Pekin Animal Hospital. We wont be taking credit or debit cards for this clinic. If you dont have the registration fee, dont worry. We will get it covered. There is NO OTHER CHARGE for this chip clinic. ---And, finally, we thank you in advance for your patience and understanding. We are all donating our time for this, and we will have as many people as we can, but it could get crowded and we could get backed up, a bit. Our goal here is to get as many of your pets safely and accurately microchipped and we need your help to do this well! See you next Saturday! —
