IMPORTANT NOTICE TO ALL ANDROID SMARTPHONE USERS Today I went with my son to the bank to open a savings account up for him. Whilst we were with the bank manager we got chatting about Internet banking and phone apps. She asked us what phone do you use, we both said iPhones. She said that is great and then went on to tell us that she had recently attended a regional security meeting for the bank. During this meeting, it was discussed that people who are designing non iPhone apps (android) have been caught hacking peoples devices including personal information and banking details. They design game apps etc and offer them for free or cheaply and they embed (hide) software within the app to be able to retrieve your personal information and banking details. It has also been noted that in some of the clauses, prior to installing, when you click that you agree to their terms, hidden in the lengthy conditions you are actually giving them permission to do this, therefore it doesn’t stand up in a court of law. It is starting to run rife in the smartphone industry but apple iPhone’s cannot be hacked. The reason behind this is because Apple scrutinize every app that is designed and they must follow strict guidelines to be able to be listed on the iTunes apps store for purchase. Microsoft/Windows do not have the same structure and allow anyone to design and list an app for purchase, therefore you are leaving yourself wide open to be hacked!!!! I strongly recommend that everyone share this post. Do some research on it, change to an iPhone or at least pay for antivirus for your android device. However having antivirus does not guarantee that you wont be hacked but it is a precaution. Please share!!!!
