One of my Guilty Pleasure songs - Only Girl (In The World), Rihanna First and foremost, I dont listen to Rihannas music. Ive never been interested in it and the few other songs I did hear from her I did not like. The only one that I do like is Only Girl (In The World). I really dont think this song is good, mainly because of the lyrics and its message are very, very vapid and pretentious (To all of you women out there, if you want to or think you should be treated as the only girl in the world then you are very selfish and self-centered and need to be slapped for it. Same thing goes to all you men, including the slapping.) and one criticism that Ive been hearing about Rihanna is her voice, and I can see why because she has a very high pitched voice. But what I think the thing that I like about this song is the sound. Im just a gigantic apple flavored sucker when it comes songs that have electronic sounds, not to mention that I also have a weakness for songs that sound perfect to listen to in a nightclub or when driving a sports or muscle car at night in a city and this song does sound like it does belong in both a nightclub and when driving a car at night in a city. While Rihannas voice in this song is high pitched, I can tolerate it. Theres not a whole lot that I can say about this song, other than while I think its not a good song, there are parts of that I do like, enough to make me like it. https://youtube/watch?v=pa14VNsdSYM
