Man has this kiddo taught (erhem, forced me to learn) A LOT. As he begins his seventh year, I probably ought to do an update to this post. We both have learned so many more coping strategies, and frankly, hes grown up a little. He is better able to handle some of his own intense emotions. That makes it a bit easier, but were both still works in progress. Hugs to those of you for whom this post really resonates. You are not alone.
