***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ*** Ive just heard that the company Johnsons have told Terracycle that they are no longer able to sponsor the baby wipe collections after the 31st Dec 2014. This means that after this date we wont be able to recycle baby wipe packets to get money for COUNT THE KICKS. Terracycle have been trying to find another company to take over but without any luck so far. If they do find another sponsor then it will take several months to set them up. As a result Count the Kicks will no longer be able to collect empty packets from 31st Dec 2014. This is a surprise to many of us volunteer collectors and will have a big impact on the recycling part of the charity. However, we will still be able to recycle the other items such as cleaning products, biscuit wrappers, baby food pouches, clothes etc. Will everyone who has baby wipe packets let me know asap & I will collect or you can drop off to me next week. I need to have them all by Fri 28th Nov ideally. For those who are involved with looking after a collection box please think about whether your nursery, group, organization can further support COUNT THE KICKS by continuing to recycle some of our other listed items. Ill contact all collection points by email in a few days & get your decisions. If you have any questions please do get back to me. We have a few more weeks to collect so dont throw any wipe packets away!! Hopefully another company will pledge the money to be the sponsor within the near future & we can start again in the Spring. :)
