IMPORTANT UPDATE - if youre interested in GaymerX, please read, in 140 character bites! Based on feedback that we’ve gotten, the new focus towards diversity in the industry and budget, GaymerX2 will be the final year for the con. This year is gonna be super awesome and we’re going to make it AMAZING for you and anyone who attends, so try to come out if you can! We love you and we wouldn’t have been able to make this convention possible without all your support and love. That’s not to say that we may not do other events again in the future, but we’re asking so much out of our volunteers for the past 2 years The size of our event and the amount of money we were losing to put it on became too much of a burden to keep at this pace Thank you for helping make our dream come true - thank you to Sean Z. Maker and Bent-Con, Mark C Barlet and The AbleGamers Foundation, Joey Stern and Geeks OUT, Alex Garcia and Gay Geeks and Benjamin Williams and Queer Geek! Seattle for leading the way and laying the ground for what we were able to accomplish last year and this year. This doesnt mean that GaymerX is gone forever, but that it will no longer be a yearly event, so the possibility of it coming back in a smaller form or in some other way always will persist. The dream of creating a better world for queer geeks will live on until there is true equality and we ask you to keep fighting the fight.
