MAKE SURE THE PURCHASE PRICE HASNT BEEN INFLATED. Some dealers offer a ridiculously low cost per page by adding in extra margin into the hardware. Usually this would require some knowledge of how many pages a customer is planning to print but once you know that it’s easy to put additional margin into the hardware to fund a reduced cost per page. For instance, if the dealer thinks you’re unlikely to print more than 12,000 colour pages a year they could drop the cost per page by 2p for the first year simply by adding an extra £240.00 into the hardware cost. Once youre hooked into a contract some dealers will then simply put that cost per page up as soon as they possibly can (usually after the first 12 months).
