IN REGARDS TO THE NEW LAWS FOR FISHING ON THE EBRO!!!!!! had a meeting today in regards to the latest rumours surrounding the new fishing laws that will be supposedly taking place next year. and as suspected it was all just rumours. the only thing discussed with respects to the slaying of the fish once caught was that the mayor had asked that any large cats caught on this stretch not be publicised in the local papers due to the already existing laws. but in regards to any new business, there was a meeting that took place with the other villages discussing the the upcoming plans to boost the fishing trade and tourism as a whole and setting up dumpsters along the stretch in order to improve on the current rubbish problem plaguing the local banks. in regards to the concern of the blue green algae and the blame being put on the pellets it was only merely suggested that it was caused by the organic material within the river that had built up during the slow running water. how all of this got blown up out of proportion is beyond me but i thought i would just nip it all in the bud before it got too out of control. I know many of you have already made plans to fish the Ebro next year either with us or any of the various other business that work hard to earn a living along the river and I hope, that with the new light shed on this subject, you can continue to make your plans and enjoy all the wonder and beauty that this amazing river and surrounding communities have on offer.. thank you so much for your support and tight lines .
