That the Government of the Punjab constituted a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) vide Order No. SO(SPL-CTS)11-1/2014 (Lahore), dated 21-06-2014 and vide Central Police Office, Punjab, Lahore Order No. 718907204/Legal, dated 21-06-2014 to probe and finalize investigation of case FIR No. 510/2014, dated 17-06-2014, PS Faisal Town, Lahore. 2. That on 27-06-2014, JIT started the investigation of the above said case and took the following steps to finalize the investigation on merits. 1. On 27-06-2014, case diary was taken into possession b the JIT and reviewed in detail. Letters were sent to all local and national TV Channels (City 42, Dunya News, News One, ARY News, GEO News, Value TV and Express News) for provision of detailed footage and video clips recording of the incident in order to scrutinize, identity culprits and eye witnesses vide office letter No. 435-42/PSSB, dated 27-06-2014. The same was received and thoroughly examined. The JIT requested provision of treatment/postmortem examination reports and Medico Legal Certificates (MLCs) of deceased/injured persons from Principal, Allama Iqbal Medical College (MLCs) of deceased/injured persons from Principal, Allama Iqbal Medical College, Lahore vide Letter No. 434/PSSB, dated 27-06-2014. CDR (incoming/outgoing phone calls details) of Police officers who took part in the Idara Minhaj-ul-Quran operation received which have been examined. 2. During the course of investigation the JIT on 28-06-2014 Mr. Tariq Aziz, SP Operations, Model Town Division, Muhammad Nadeem SP Investigation and Mr. Umar Riaz SP Civil Lines Operations, on 30-06-2014, Mr. Abdul Raheem Sherazi SP Mobiles, Dr. Farukh SP Iqbal Town, Mr. Mahroof Safdar Wahla SP HQrs, Mr. Awais Malik SP Sadar Ops, on 01-07-2014, Mr. Umar Virk SP Organized Crime, Mr. Bashir Niazi Inspector Organized Crime, Mr. Khalid Abu Bakar DSP Organized Crime, Mr. Shafat Ali Inspector Organized Crime, Mr. Shah Nawaz Inspector Organized Crime, Mr. Shah Nawaz Inspector Organized Crime, Mr. Rizwan Qadir Inspector/SHO Faisal Town on 02-07-2014 SI Rauf, Mr. Salman Ali Khan SP Security, Mr. Agha Ramzan SP VVIP Security, Mr. Perwaiz Hussain Butt SDP HQrs Security and Mr. Aftab Ahmad DSP, Model Town joined the investigation and were interviewed them regarding the incident in detail in question and answer session to ascertain the facts of the incident. 3. Further added that on 03-07-2014 Mr. Sharif ASI, Mr. Abdul Jan DSP, Mian Younis SHO Sherakot, Sheikh Amir Saleem SHO Sabzazar, Rauf SI Elite, Javid Iqbal HVC Elite, Mian Naveed Iqbal official of Elite Force and Mr. Athar Mehmood SI Elite were joined the investigation and the said officials got recorded their statements as well as heard in detail. Mian Naveed Iqbal Elite Force admitted in his statement that he fired three shorts in the air in compliance with the orders of the seniors. 4. On 04-07-2014 statement of one injured was received by Muhammad Azam Mehar DSP and Asad Muzafar DSP in Jinnah Hospital with the permission of the doctor whereas other three injured refused to record the statements.
