INNA LILLAHI WAINNA ILAIHI RAJIUN ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE DEATH OF PROFESSOR MUHAMMAD NUR ALKALI It is with regrets and a deep sense of loss that the family of late Alkali Shettima Baba Gazali announces the passing away of Professor Muhammad Nur Alkali, former Vice-Chancellor, University of Maiduguri and one-time Director-General, National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPPS). Professor Nur Alkali died yesterday, Friday, 1st August, 2014 after a brief illness at his residence along Lagos Street, Maiduguri at the age of 68 years. Burial arrangements will take place at his residence along Lagos Street, adjacent Lagos House at 4.00pm today, Saturday, 2nd August, 2014. Late Professor Nur Alkali left behind many brothers and sisters among whom is Ambassador Ahmed El-Gazali, one wife and ten (10) children. Among his children are Dr. Yashuwa Nur Alkali, Barr.
