INNER HEALINGS Ephesians 3:17-19 17 That Christ may dwell in your hearts by faith; that ye, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 May be able to comprehend with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God. Many believers and even ministers are dying internally while looking robust externally. They mask the inner turmoil and mental torture they go through daily with smiles. These precious people are facing multiple challenges that threaten their very sanity. Unfortunately, a vast majority are fighting demons and employing many other ephemeral strategies without receiving permanent succour because the root is left untouched. SICKNESS, MARITAL TROUBLES, ANGER, IMPATIENCE AND REBELION ARE ALL SURFACE PROBLEMS THAT HAVE A DEEPER ROOT. ROOT STEP 1: STRESS – This is the breaking down of the complex neurological / physiological structure of man through internal pressures. It was stress that broke down Adam’s finely created body and made him die physically eventually! ROOT STEP 2: FEAR – (GUILT, WORRY AND ANXIETY) Fear torments people and guilt creates and sustains fear of punishment. Adam felt guilty after eating of the tree of KNOWLEDGE of GOOD and EVIL. His guilt introduced fear - the apprehension of punishment and this in turn made him and Eve run and hide from God. Guilt and Fear strip a man naked, they remove from him the robe of confidence. CONFIDENCE comes from the Greek combination of CON (With) and FIDEO (Faith). This means LIVING WITH FAITH and as it is said in scripture, “The just shall live by faith”. Faith itself is the CONFIDENT assurance that what God said is true. This means that when confidence is gone, a man feels extremely vulnerable This state is responsible for countless numbers of psychiatric and suicide cases in the world today. Satan loves to prey upon a mind that he has successfully cut off by guilt and fear. Fear paralyses its victim. The lion in the forest roars loudly and the prey becomes paralysed at the thought of what the lion can do. Satan keeps attacking the mind with accusations the way a vicious boxer focuses on a cut on the opponent’s face and keeps hitting the very same spot until it becomes a bloody mess that psychologically makes him give up. Adam answered in response to God’s question, “I heard thy voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself”. Fear, triggered by guilt, makes men to ‘hide’ from God. They start avoiding prayer and fellowship with God because Guilt and fear torment the victim to a point where they either commit suicide or they hopelessly submit to their mental state, thus endorsing the devastating ravage of their bodies by demon – inspired diseases like Cancer and HIV / AIDS. The Bible teaches that “fear torments” (1John 4:18) ROOT STEP3: CONDEMNATION This is caused by the conscience’s KNOWLEDGE of good and evil. This knowledge is what Satan plays upon to ACCUSE the individual. The forbidden tree in Eden was not called the tree of sin; it was called the tree of knowledge of GOOD and EVIL. Doing what one KNOWS to be wrong will definitely trigger an attack of condemnation from the diabolical duo of your conscience and the devil. The word ‘Condemnation’ is the same as Judgment. In the natural, when a person is judged in court, a judicial ruling is made either acquitting or condemning the individual. In the case of inner condemnation, the conscience hardly acquits a wrong action but sentences the individual and hands them over to condemnation. This condemnation will then drive a person beyond hope and the help of God. The individual finds themselves locked up in a vicious prison cycle of sin, regret and more sin. ...... to be continued. RESPECT!
