INORDINATE DELAY -WHOSE INTERESTS IT SERVES It is pertinent to share, in present charged atmosphere, to reproduce, a letter dated 9th of April 2004 to Shri Natwar Singh , then foreign minister of GOI, by late Haji Buland Khan a veteran leader of the state which starts as:-Gujjar Bakerwal a distinct minority tribe of J&K STATE WHICH IS 2nd largest community after kashmiri Muslims, feel pleasure in congratulating your good self and all those with whose efforts it has been made possible to successful launch of Caravan-a-Aman ,bus service from Srinagar to Muzafarabad ferrying divided families for reunion who has been suffering pangs of separation since partition This is a historical event of significance, restoring with mutual consent this passenger service on Jhelum Valley road after half a century, ushering new hopes that in near future other road links shall be restored for which people and the opinion leaders on both sides are aspiring and shall facilitate to develop more and more people to people interaction, reinvigorate their desire for lasting peace, bringing warmth in their relations and thawing of strained relations This reminds us of a token hammering to Berlin Wall from western side by a Gandian Dr Zutshi who hailed from J&K STATE. This event at that time was viewed as publicity stunt but this infamous Berlin wall is no more there and with the passage of time we have European union of the countries who fought two world wars, the cold war and has more than 150 years of history in which they had wars between them and mow is a prospers union of different states This bus link is a good omen but shall not serve purpose to the people of entire J&K view of the geographical position. Aspiration and interest of the people who populate this benighted state has to be taken into consideration in its totality as such other snapped road links such as Sochatgarh-Saialkote ,Nowshera-Mirpur, Poonch –Kotli and Rawalakote ,Gurez-Astore Kargil-Askardo and passage to Sharda temple has to be restored so that needs of the different communities and the area can be accommodated with equal justice i—sd PS ten years have gone by no leader worth name in the state or in the center beside across has raised and perused this vital issue which are steps in easing tension, their stoic silence on this speaks much more than tight lips. Long live the Dhatrastras of Satisar and Government of india ,our sufferings are not in their scheme of things to mitigatde
