INSPIRATION (Giving direction to your day) Wednesday 25TH September, 2013 NEGATIVE MENTALITY Text: “Bu the men that went up with him said, we be not able to go up against the people: for they are stronger than we.” Numbers 13:31 Mentality simply means a way of thinking, a disposition to life or a mind-set about life. This has a major role to play in our lives. Negative mentality is when we see life from purely the negative perspective. We seem to see problems more than we see solutions. We seem to see more of the barriers rather than the way out. We see more of the enemy than we see God. Please understand that whatever will take place in our outer life must first of all take place within us. What you don’t become within you cannot become without. Success and breakthrough in life is first of all a function of who we are within. The greatest limitations in life are not the ones without but the ones within us. What you are not within it will be difficult to become without. Wherever you want to go in life, whatever you want to accomplish in life we must first of all undergo the journey within our hearts and accomplish the feats within us. The ten spies saw themselves as victims and that was exactly what became of them. The giants they saw were not actually their problem but their personal disposition to life. They were more enemy-minded than God-minded. Because of their negative mind-set they could not see how God will intervene on their behalf. They had completely forgotten how God delivered them out of the hand of Pharaoh. They had forgotten how the red sea parted for them. It’s possible that your problem is not the sickness or the economy but rather your negative mind-set to life. We must consciously deal with this to go up in life. CONFESSION: The power of God at work in me is far bigger than what the enemy can do. The grace of God available for me supersedes what challenges life can offer. I am a victor and not a victim.
