IS IT A SIN TO BE NAIVE? Many people have told me this through my life... You are too naive... people are taking advantage of you. Be careful and watch your back. Funny thing, one of my very good friends who had taken advantage of me many times during our friendship told me this. She was always needing a little help financially or physical help, like moving something... lol. I always tried to help when I could even though she had kind of stuck it to me a few times. My hopes remained high for her that she would one day be able to make it on her own and not always seem so needy. Being naive is a hard thought to accept as a behavior of your own. It is thought of as a weakness by so many people. I always preferred to think of it as a good trait. Willing to trust and love someone even though you have been hurt before... not wanting to give up on humanity. Always willing to give somebody a chance... sometimes many chances! Over many years of being lied to, cheated, and hurt, you begin to put up walls of protection. You tell yourself that you will allow yourself to be hurt again! But, then you realize by doing so, you have kind of given up on humanity... that NO ONE can ever be trusted. I am past that giving-up stage and now just feel tired of it all. Not that I have given up on humanity, but the feeling that I have done as much as I can do alone and someone else needs to take over. I have worked hard my whole life, I have given, I have trusted, I have loved, I have served to only come to this conclusion... JESUS IS THE ONLY ONE THAT WILL NOT LET ME DOWN... HE HAS NEVER LEFT ME... NEVER FORSAKEN ME. For now, I choose to only wait for Him. I do not feel convicted about it either! Satan keeps trying to tell me I am being selfish, that I have given up on God... AND HE IS A LIAR! I am where He wants me to be and this time and space of my life. HE IS EVERYTHING GOOD! DONT FORGET IT!
