ISCEST COMMENDS OTUOKE VARSITY OVER INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENT The International Society of Comparative Education, Science and Technology, ISCEST has commended the leadership of the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, on its efforts on the development of the institution. ISCEST Nigeria President, Professor Steve Azaiki, made the commendation when he led a delegation of members to the institution on a site seeing mission. The visit was part of activities of the ISCEST first International Conference holding in Yenagoa, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. While presenting the maiden edition of the Societys Journal the Current Study on Comparative Education, Science and Technology to the Vice Chancellor, Professor Azaiki thanked him for the hospitality shown by the institution, noting that the tour would aid various researches on the impact of environment on the university. Responding, the Vice Chancellor of the University, Professor Mobolaji Aluko, disclosed that not less than six billion naira will be spent on the completion of various developmental projects currently going on in the institution. Dr. Aluko however assured that the institutions stadium, new faculty buildings, e-Library, academic building, hostels, road network among others, will be completed within the next twelve months. The Vice Chancellor noted that the institution aims at contributing purposeful and ethical service to the nation and mankind also called on corporate organizations and individuals both home and abroad to partner with the institution to achieve its goals. Also speaking, a delegate at the Conference, Professor Lawrence Ugwuanyi, from the Great Zimbabwe University, called on the institution to serve as an example to others by focusing more on entrepreneurship development. The Federal University Otuoke currently has three faculty buildings, library, administrative building, female hostel, as well as several other buildings under construction.
