ISIS militants destroy the tomb of the prophet Jonah in Mosul, Northern Iraq, and threaten to destroy any monument or shrine they deem as unholy to their own warped brand of Islam. Whether or not you believe that this really was the site where Jonah, the guy swallowed by a whale in the Old Testament, was buried, this is a very serious development, and one that can only now escalate. Remember, ISIS are in the process of taking over not just Iraq, but also Syria, and once they have these countries there will be no stopping where they go after that. Palestine is an obvious next target, and there are a good few holy shrines there, as we know. Why am I telling you this?? Because we have to take seriously just now bad the situation has become out there, not only on a humanitarian level, but also on a cultural level.
