Save the Children is seeking qualified candidate to fulfill the following Part time vacancy in its Gaza Office: IT Assistant- Position#: (IT/GZ/2015) Contract Duration: February - June 2015 Main Responsibilities: -Upgrading and maintaining Laptops, Printers, Scanners, Digital Cameras…) and meets HO IT requirements. -Following up with the IT officer regarding the internet connection and problems. -Arrange for general maintenance checks for the office equipment (Laptops and Desktops, Mobiles, telephones, printers and photocopier). -Keep the computer and laptops clean from viruses. -Assist staff in uploading large files. -Provide IT support, either face to face or over the telephone. -Coordinate maintenance work for office photocopiers, printers, scanner and maintenance for the Alarm Systems and Cameras. -Provide technical and logistical support for meeting and presentations. -Develop databases according to project requirements, -Responsible for setting new accounts for the staff on the email system and password reset in full cooperation and coordination with IT Officer. -Responsible for maintaining functional servers in Gaza office. -Responsible for configuring the cameras, operating them and recording. -Assist in trouble shooting of any hardware, networking and software related problems, and maintain the equipment regularly. -Responsible for following up with the main office in Ramallah and in particular with IT Officer on the computer technical issues and the frequent update for the antivirus program to avoid computer crashes. -Coordinate with the IT officer all ICT procurements for Gaza office to ensure all specifications are up to the minimum operating standards. Qualifications and Experience: -College degree in IT. -Demonstrated experience in the same field -Excellent IT skills -MCSE/MCITP Certificate is plus -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Desired: -Written and verbal good in English. -Ability to contribute to a small, proactive team, motivating staff and working collaboratively with colleagues and providing support and advice as necessary.
