Good morning FB! Todays agenda: prayer & meditation, coffee, a mtg, coffee, cleaning, coffee, visit mom. Speaking of mom.... Here is the scoop... she does not have pneumonia like we thought. Much worse! She had a UTI which turned septic! Im very upset! She has been dealing with this for a long time! I have insisted on tests from her doctor, and she has had several with treatments, all of which failed to kill the bacteria. The last time we went to her doctor about it (fall of 2012), she told us that (((((its just a nuisance and that elderly people get these all the time)))))... So even though I was concerned about it going into her bloodstream, I took the almighty doctors word. :( Then, when mom fell and went into the hospital, they took a catch & said she had a UTI, did nothing tho. Then, rehab took 3 catches, & they said they all came back with contamination so they werent able to culture it, so, they did nothing about it again! Then, when she came home in August, I took her to her regular doctor, (the same one who said her UTI was no big deal) & she ordered tests (blood tests and urine tests). Home Health from rehab came out & got them from mom. This was just a couple weeks ago, & we heard they were A-okay! Bllsht. Shes had this UTI for a loooooong time! I am going to get her medical records & if they show signs of sepsis, im going to do something about it!!! And thank God my moms hip was hurting, which got us into the hospital, which revealed a fever, and then they found bacteria in her blood stream! So thankful to God right now! But we need prayers! Please!! Ive read about this stuff and its not good! Very powerful and scary! It is very hard to get rid of, hard to stay on top of, etc. She is having her last dose of IV antibiotics today & is expected home tuesday.
