Provide technical support assistance for trading partners and Arrow business users including but not limited to: Setup and support of EDI/RN partnerships and VAN/3rd party communications Analyze and manage daily production transactions and escalate issues to the appropriate business partners. Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve, or escalate problems with EDI X12, EDIFACT, or RosettaNet. data and/or mapping errors. Monitor error alerts and reprocess data as needed. Gather business requirements and communicate them to development team. Attend conference calls with Arrow business users and trading partners. Run queries and report statistics. Basis Qualifications: College degree or high school diploma with technical or business training or experience. 5 years IT technical support experience, preferably in EDI and/or B2B experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Critical thinking and troubleshooting skills. Possess a strong sense of urgency and attention to detail. Proficient in MS Office Suite. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with EDI translator software, web Methods Trading Networks a plus. Basic knowledge of Oracle or SAP ERP system a plus. Support the development of preferred supply partners to use current technology in manufacturing skills, tools, procedures and practices. Recommend supplier-specific improvement opportunities and lean techniques that can be implemented to improve supplier performance in cost, quality, and lead time Support the development of supplier improvement plans; provide guidance, expertise, and the necessary tools to support the execution of the plan Support the Commodity Team Lead in driving, tracking, and communicating supplier improvement progress against established goals Technical liaison between BAE Engineering and supplier Engineering/technical team for technical problems with existing products and new development programs. Support Quick Response Contract programs acting as Engineerings Supply Chain integrator with suppliers. This includes selecting suppliers with Engineering, get quotes on the design (before the drawings are complete), getting input back from suppliers on the design (before its complete), establish delivery dates and expedite the PO when the drawings are released. Included in this is post PO scheduling, supplier visits, and problem resolution. Support engineering finding special products, sources of supply for new manufacturing of hi tech processes and alternate sources for unique devices. Identify areas for Cost Take out (CTO) at the supplier site and work with the supplier to achieve; support the Commodity Team Lead to develop a means for tracking and measuring the cost savings Support lean efforts at the supplier, through the recognition and implementation of KanBans, dock-to stock as well as flow and process improvements. The ability to provide support to the supplier with technical and / or manufacturing questions. Engage with the design engineering community on new products being introduced and selecting the appropriate preferred suppliers to participate in product development from design to manufacturing. Monitor quality/delivery ratings on a monthly basis to identify systematic issues/concerns that may lead to late deliveries.
