IT LOOKS POSITIVE: 150 SUPPORTS FROM 30 NATIONS IN 1 MONTH This Text sketches the ambitions and explains the next steps of the slowly emerging UNIVERSAL JAZZ REVIVAL FORUM and reveals a lifelong dream of its founder. The Forum (founded March 2014) is a movement that should possibly rise into a worldwide organized JAZZ LOBBY, to support the interests of Jazz music in its political and social week position, through no fault of its one. To upgrade JAZZ in our society and to inhibit the perpetual conventional and institutional suppression in the media, as well as to question the counterproductive and increasing academic prevalence in Jazz schooling.- After a certain time of consolidation and administrational steps, an honorary committee among the supporters and sympathizers worldwide will be needed. Then only we can start to launch collectively discussed initiatives and try to help with possible problems everywhere. Even national committees could be possible. We can communicate by exchanging stories and ideas. As you can see I integrated selected Audio-Links in 4 different practical to use Albums, original and instructive material made especially for the younger generations and for Jazz oriented places of learning. One project must contain the claim to officially integrate the many sparsely employed jazz artists in the teaching of children in schools and Jazz Academies. After discussing suggested actions and new ideas, everyone can give his vote. In difficult decisions a council of well-deserved Musicians should be considered. - Thanks for your attention and with compliments PG Founder of this project is Peter Giger (75), drummer, percussionist, composer, author, drum-teacher and producer, now living in retirement in Ticino, Switzerland. From 1958 he has worked internationally with Jazz Greats in all styles: Albert Nicholas, Bill Coleman, Joe Turner, Memphis Slim, Champion Jack Dupree, Peanuts Holland, Wild Bill Davison, Stéphane Grapelli, Duke Ellington, Billy Strayhorne, Benny Bailey, Teddy Wilson, Ben Webster, Archie Shepp, Max Roach, Marvin Peterson and many more. Giger is regarded a pioneer of Percussion- and World-music. 20 years old he was with a French Ragtime Band in Southern France, they all dreamed to buy an abandoned Village and make it to a VILLAGE DU JAZZ. Unfortunately it was an insurmountable financial problem, but such a tempting idea. Even today one can find many abandoned Villages for no money (Galicia ESP for instance). Perhaps this dream will still one day come true, if we are lucky to find the necessary funds. The place should be in a Mediterranean climatic zone (POR, ESP, F, IT, HR, AL, GR, TUR), contain a restaurant, a club and a studio, a well-documented school and enough infrastructure in order to welcome musicians and fans from everywhere to spend their holidays or just pass to say hello.-
