Hi everyone! We have been so busy that I didnt even realize we hadnt written an update for you all with the new happenings! Thank you for keeping up with us and for keeping us in your prayers. We last told you that Juliettes surgery was scheduled for October 15 (that would be tomorrow!!!) -- BUT things have changed, yet again. (I do believe that change has become our accepted constant. ...always a new variable over here.) ;) So, things have changed: Juliette ended up getting sick with a cold, so her surgery date has moved to November 7. This timeframe should giver her time to recover (and hopefully not get sick again!!) before surgery. She seems like she doing almost all the way better now. We saw how tough it was for Jules to recover from the cath procedure she had on September 26 (resulting in a 4 night hospital stay instead of just an overnight) ...we arent positive why it took her extra time, except that maybe she was still possibly fighting a lingering cold that she had a few weeks before (the cath had been pushed back due to that earlier cold) or maybe just because she is in fact in need of her second heart surgery... But we are praying that she is well and recovers quickly and thoroughly after her heart surgery on November 7. In the last two and a half weeks weve gone from living as a divided family (Jason and Bennet at the sick house for 10 days) to being reunited. We are trying to take advantage of the opportunity to do some of the things we love, even though Jules new accessories (the oxygen tank & cannula) cramp our style a little bit. :) Every day is a gift, a chance to seek out new treasures to unearth and give back in thanks to God. I say this to myself after I get mad at the oxygen tube that keeps getting caught on corners. ;) Im so thankful we are able to be enjoying home in this time of waiting, even though we have an added element. :) Our apologies for not updating right away on the change. It was hard to know what was what in the first days after getting back from the hospital. Here are some pictures from the past couple weeks of enjoying home again.
