“IT SHALL BE FORGIVEN.” Curious laws and Bible study notes from Leviticus In other words, you will be forgiven if you seek forgiveness from God. God told us that if we want to come to Him. He must be regarded as holy. (Leviticus 10:3) The problem is … we are not holy. Sometimes unintentionally, sometimes intentionally … WE ARE NOT HOLY. So, God set up some instructions on sacrifices (“actions we could take”) to confess our sin, to release us of our guilt, and to reestablish our connection to God and His glory. As you may know, God replaced the Levitical laws on sacrifices with His Eternal Sacrifice of Himself (once and for all) on the cross to secure forgiveness for us if we choose of our own will to confess our sin to Him.
