Icky! Yuck! Ewww! I just had someone that found my LinkedIn profile call me. She started the call asking if I could tell her more about how I can help her generate more leads and close more sales. I asked her a few question and then started to explain how I could help her. Guess what she did next? She completely ignored everything I had just shared and said, you need to be selling Isagenix. Were looking for people like you.... blah blah blah. Turns out, she was not interested in my services at all. She was only interested in pushing her product/business opportunity on me. I was totally mislead into wasting 20 minutes of my time. Reminder of the day #1: do not ever, ever engage in this slimy tactic. This is why network marketing has such a bad rap! Reminder of the day #2: Before you start pushing the stuff you sell on someone, make sure they want it, need it, have the means to pay for it and the authority to purchase it. It all comes back to clearly understanding who your ideal client is and who it is not. In this case, I certainly have the means and authority to purchase what shes selling but I dont want it or need it...and her hard sales approach isnt going to change that. Dont be gross: market with integrity!
