Icons, Landmarks and Delicacies?? Our Pipe Band are in the last week of performances at the Edinburgh Tattoo. The city is heaving and the streets are jam-packed with tourists. The atmosphere in Edinburgh is currently electric. Taking a short break from rehearsals, our correspondent Constable David North provided the following update: I was able to grab a photograph of Brigadier David ALLFREY. He is the Chief executive and producer of the Edinburgh Tattoo. Basically he is the man who brings it all together. He is an extremely engaging gentleman and it has been an absolute honour to have met and worked with him. The Forth Bridge is an iconic train bridge just outside Edinburgh connecting the north and south banks of the Firth of Forth. I used a black and white image just to highlight the fantastic form of this bridge. The last image is that of a macaroni and cheese pie. Yes, you heard me. Apparently this is a Leith (just outside of Edinburgh) classic delicacy. I though Haggis was the Scottish favourite. Special thanks to one of Police Scotlands finest, Police Constable Andy MARROW on his day off kindly showed us around the highlights of Edinburgh and Leith. It was great to talk with him about the similar issues we face as Police officers, albeit separated by many thousand kilometres. We were able to visit some of the challenging areas and observe the same issues faced by police around the world. Great work Andy!
