Id like to ask your help. Id like you to help me understand - TopicsExpress

Id like to ask your help. Id like you to help me understand something. Back in June I wrote an article titled Why My Family Doesnt Do Sleepovers. I looked at some comments by James Dobson, agreed and disagreed with him, and explained why Aileen and I determined years ago that we would not allow our children to participate in sleepovers—a rule we have kept despite significant protest from our children and their friends parents. That article has now been read more than a million times and has been shared on Facebook 165,000 times, which makes it far and away the most popular article Ive ever written. Even today it continues to get read more than anything else Ive written. (It was Decembers most popular article!) Im not sure why it has proven so popular. I have some ideas, but they are only that—ideas. I thought maybe you could help me understand. Why would a mediocre article on sleepovers and our decision not to allow them receive that kind of attention? What am I missing?
