Ideas for FP armour - The general cosplay posts folk have made about using latex pieces mounted on an undersuit for xenomorphs had me worried. A) the undersuit is stretchy and must be on a manequin when the latex is fitted and B) Im using foam and not latex - foam isnt stretchy. Plus the undersuit has no textures and has bits added as needed all over. I think it would be quite labour-saving to use a base corduroy material to do much of the ribbing needed for joints. Ive some old trousers I can cut up and paint (just need some fabric paint). Sadly I cant just use a jacket - because corduroy sleeves have vertical ribbing, and I need horizontal.
