Idk who wrote this poem but its a good one! A Prayer for our drunken daddy! Oh god this is our prayer please listen to what we say tonight were thinking of daddy as we kneel to pray. He once was a happy man not a worry to his name then he picked up the bottle and his worries came. At first just a beer or two to quench his thirsty spot then the whiskey came along his family he forgot If he hadnt started drinking he wouldnt be where he is today wasting his life away He never stopped to think before it was too late but another drink he had to have O god, fill his empty part he didnt know it would wreck his home and break his familys heart He never stopped to think before he had a few the price his family has to pay for the things their daddy had to do We pray for this world of torment and hate lets all help the drinking man before its to late. There would be a lot less drinking in this world today if a few drunken daddies could hear their children pray...
