If Fis Nua get into Government in Ireland, Fis Nua gets to appoint judges, Senators, Quango bord members (in the hundreds), inspectors, secret service, secretarys, planning officers, europes commissioner, garda commissioner etc. etc. There are simply thousands, if not tens of thousands of jobs which are obtained through the political party in power (if anyone has a list please post it here). Up until now, no one talks about it and it is done with a wink and a nod. Lets make the debate public, but, who should be appointed ? Friends ? loyal members of the Party ? Neighbours of the TDs ? those who donate the most ? Those who demonstrate sustainability in their lives ? This is an elephant in the room people, so please engage because whether you discuss it or not, it will happen, perhaps not in Fis Nua, but someone must get appointed somewhere by a Political Party.
