If I could kindly offer a tip to sellers, dont lie about your book value. Frankly, I would suggest not to even mention it. Maybe Im the only one but when I see people posting bloated KBB prices, I personally suspect A) they dont know anything about cars and B) they are liars like a snake oil salesman. First, the car is only worth what people will pay and what you will sell it for, so who cares what book researchers from Timbuktu think. For another, unless youre selling something very rare, or something with under like 20k miles, no one who has been around the block will believe that your 12 or 15 or 18 year old car books at like $5000.
