If I manage to leave someone out please forgive as there is A TON of people to tag. It’s hard to believe that our journey of shooting a horror anthology is finished at the library. When I conceived the idea for Volumes of Blood I had no idea what would transpire over the 4 month production period. Artists came and went; most jumped on board whether it was to work with a certain person or just to be a part of this film because it was an exciting endeavor. There have been some ups and downs, moments of badassery and moments to complete tension between cast or crew. Nevertheless we weathered through the process & everything I’ve seen has looked fantastic. I believe that’s because the project had such a talented & incredibly passionate team. I know there were times of compromise and frustration, times when maybe I tried to cram too much into one evening. I apologize for the stress, but I’m relieved that I had a crew standing next to me that cared enough to pull their hair out when it seemed that things would fall to pieces. Nothing truly fell to pieces. While some visions had to be reworked on the shorts because of time constraints (mine included), I have no doubts that the final product won’t kick some major ass. We have a freakin’ body count of 19, how the hell can this movie be bad!? At the end of the day we weren’t breaking new ground on celluloid, but we’ll definitely be giving the audience what they should expect with a film called Volumes of Blood.
