If Israel, the modern socialist state, is the restored Kingdom of David as prescribed by dispensationalists, I have a few questions. -Where are the national feasts, or Jubilees? By now land should have seen some turnover in Israel if they were righteous according to Gods law. Where are the sacrifices? Even if a temple is unbuildable they have ample resources to rebuild a tabernacle, but they havent. There are no sacrifices, even Mosaic ones predating the need for a temple. -WHERE ARE THE PRIESTS? There are none. If they can trace their lineage like they claim they can, they should have priests. This leads to the most disturbing hole in dispensationalist thought. If the Jews had come back to righteousness and been restored, which according to some modern Christians they have, they would have accepted Jesus Christ as their messiah and repented for denying him (Acts 2 lays this out wonderfully. If dispensationalists are correct, there was no need for them to come to Christ, since their being Jewish would have been good enough). If youre a dispensationalist, you also have to ask these questions: In EVERY God-sanctioned return from captivity or being scattered, there was first a repentance from sin and a return to the law. Since none of these elements of the law are being practiced, and there was no return to Gods law, the return to Palestine in 1947, which does NOT fit the Biblical model, was NOT of God. Interestingly enough, there are MANY Jews that believe the modern state of Israel is apostate because of this lack of fitting with the model. It makes no sense.
