If anybody has any idea how you stop crying over a cat you had to - TopicsExpress

If anybody has any idea how you stop crying over a cat you had to leave at the last few months of his life with your parents as he was too old and frail to travel overseas...please let me know... My very kind in-laws were our beloved Sir Isaac Newtons retirement home for the last 4 months of his life...we got to Skype with him--which was great and not great, as it made me cry each time he came to the camera. Yesterday he went to the Rainbow Bridge, where are good pets go to wait for the ones who loved them. He was my very best buddy for 15 years, and slept by my side every night...he comforted me during deployments and TDYs, and helped me feel better during sick times and while recuperating from surgeries. Me was a moth hunter, a moist cat food addict, and in his early years a gymnast. He was regal and ruled benevolently over his vast domain. He ALWAYS came running when I called him, and prized his strict daily routine. My mother in law got him for us when he was a little orange puff ball, found him when he was lost for nine days, and was with him in the end. So, theres a *little* something extra coming to her and PopPop for Christmas this year... Newton, wait patiently for us and try not to lord your awesomeness over all the other pets. I know youre gaining back all the weight you lost with all the Rainbow Bridge kitty kitty kitty food. I love you and Im more sorry than you could know about not being there at the end. Youre the best cat ever, and I miss you every single day...but especially at night. They broke the mold when they made you, buddy. Love, Mom and Dad and the kids
