Answer: Assalaamalaikum, In the lecture that is sited on the Wikipedia entry, Mawlana is describing the power that has been given to George Bush and Tony Blair from the spiritual realm, the support they have been given that Allah has chosen these two people to lead the charge against tyrannical rulers especially in the Muslim world. As we can see today even, that power is still going on and tyrants have indeed fallen. When Mawlana speaks in that way, we must understand that he is speaking from an angle that our minds cannot perceive and comprehend. Do we even understand what sainthood really means? Only a saint can truly know what sainthood is. We must also be careful about treating others and calling them kafir or mushrik as we do not know their internal beliefs and relationship with Allah. There are many many Muslims in the US and Europe who are Muslims in secret and cannot declare their faith. So we should not rush and judge other people’s faith. That is up to Allah who guides whom He choses. As you may know, Tony Blair’s sister-in-law converted to Islam and announced it. Also Tony Blair himself has declared that he reads the Quran daily. So we cannot judge their inner Aqidah and only make du’a to accept their work for Islam in removing the tyrants that we Muslims have allowed to rule us by giving up on our Khalifah.
