If anyone is going to fight for Alaska Natives, its going to be Mark Begich. He works for REAL legislation that has been helping Alaska Natives for crying out loud! He works on the Alaska Native and American Indian Voting Rights Act to protect our rights. He is fighting to pass his Alaska Safe Families and Villages Act to give tribes more power over law enforcement and judicial action. He worked with the Maniilaq Association to pass the Traditional Foods Bill so that our elders can eat subsistence foods in hospitals an so that our children can eat subsistence foods in schools. He is known throughout Indian Country as one of the most pro-Native politicians in Washington. He DID NOT sue Native elders and tribes like his opponent did. He has been working with us for years. If that doesnt speak to you natives, than I dont know what does. Do your research. Dont forget to vote today.
