If anyone wants to know what it is like to take a flight overseas - TopicsExpress

If anyone wants to know what it is like to take a flight overseas (like to Australia) on one of those really cool jumbo jets, do the following. 1. Get a wooden kitchen chair & fold a couple of bath towels for cushions on the seat & back. 2. Face the chair to a wall, leaving about 6-7 inches between the edge of the chair seat and the wall. 3. Sit there for 12-14 hours with a belt tied about the seat of the chair coming up over your lap (like a seat belt). 4. Be sure to find really bad food in small portions that you can break out and eat during your long trip - use a 7 x 10 book to simulate your tray table. 5. You are permitted to use your phone or tablet for entertainment, but remember it needs to last 12-14 hours - no outlets available. 6. If you want gum, candy, crackers to snack on between the meals, you have to fit them in about a 2-3 quart size baggie (like the pocket on the seat in front of you on the plane) - any extra power packs for your gadgets must fit here too. 7. If you can do this in a meat locker it will help give the real effect. BONUS FUN: Go find an extremely overweight stranger at Wal-Mart & invite them to sit in a chair next to you (be sure to put them between you and a wall on the right or left so each time they need to go to the toilet, they can climb over you). All in good fun! :-)
