If anyones going to a firework display tonight or you know of one close to your home, please dont forget your animals. So many cases last year of my dog ran off that I lost count. If your dog / cat / whatever really is that petrified then for goodness sake dont leave them. If you do need to leave them, or if you think they will be ok, leave a radio or a tv on, background noise helps to calm them. Leave them a comfy bed, somewhere they can curl up and feel safe. And for goodness sake make sure your back door / gate is securely shut in case they do decide to bolt. You may think your dog / cat / horse is super intelligent, but they have no idea whats going on and chances are theyll be petrified. Dont forget them.
