If someone could explain why my 5.5 year old son can say AND I QUOTE did you know that when it is dark my pupils dilate so more light can get into my eyeballs and I can see better but when it is bright they shrink so the light doesnt hurt my eyes (a fact I am sure that Laura Ferkinhoff Foster mentioned ONCE and he absorbed like a sponge).... but yet after 9 straight days of flashcards and memory games and repetition he cannot remember the lines E F and G at the bottom of the treble clef staff...... An explanation might keep me from killing my family and burning down my house. K thanks. (And YES he ACTUALLY used the word dilate and yes he can read and play the notes on the piano.... but cannot tell me the note names with continuous accuracy.... and YES....
