If we believe the Word of God is true now, and it is true for me personally, our God-given faith kicks into overdrive. I heard an old line of baloney from a preacher when I was in Bible College, “Sometimes God says, ‘Yes,’ sometimes God says, ‘No,’ and sometimes God says, ‘Wait.” If we believe on any level that God is saying “No,” or “Wait,” our active faith will withdraw, and stop working on what we originally sent it out to do, and we will have what is known in religious circles as a “faith failure.” It is not. Our faith does not fail. Our faith cannot fail. Our confidence can fail, and our willingness to stand and fight can fail, because those things are connected to US, and are completely under our control, but our faith, fed, directed and empowered by the Sovereign Word of our Sovereign God, will work every single time it is put to work, regardless of the quality of the person putting it to work. This should cause us to be greatly encouraged!
